I successfully defended my undergraduate thesis at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka.
The thesis, titled “Beyond Surface Metrics: Leveraging LLMs to Assess Semantic Depth of Human Responses,” was completed under the supervision of Dr. Md. Mosaddek Khan. It focuses on using large language models to move beyond shallow word-overlap metrics and evaluate the deeper semantic quality of student responses in educational settings.
Taking the last exam of my undergraduate journey feels both surreal and deeply meaningful.
After years of classes, projects, deadlines, presentations, and countless late nights, I have finally completed the last exam of my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Dhaka. This marks the end of a very important chapter in my undergraduate life and the beginning of a new one.
We deployed CognifyQ, an LLM-based educational assessment platform built as part of my undergraduate thesis.
I am excited to share that CognifyQ is now deployed online.
CognifyQ is an LLM-based educational assessment platform developed as part of my undergraduate thesis in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Dhaka. The project focuses on going beyond surface-level text matching to evaluate the semantic depth of student responses in a more meaningful and human-aligned way.
